The Arleigh Burke Flight II Class Guided Missle Destroyer was manned by the crew and
brought to life under the Command of Deidre L. McLay, Commander USN  on
June 10, 2006 at Mayport Naval Station, Mayport, Florida.  Mayport is home port of this newest
and fifth ship to bear the name of Admiral David G. Farragut.
